Season 3 of “Emily in Paris” teases more love affairs, friendship struggles, and big career changes for the titular heroine, played by Lily Collins. Emily (Collins) is torn between two men and two continents as she debates leaving the City of Lights to return to Chicago. A first look at the upcoming season shows Emily continuing her jet-setting ways across Europe. Season 2 left off with Emily professing her love for Gabriel (Lucas Bravo), only to watch him get back together with his ex (and Emily’s friend) Camille, played by Camille Razat....

The film is a followup to Rian Johnson’s 2019 box office hit “Knives Out,” a whodunnit murder mystery throwback starring Daniel Craig as Blanc, a brilliant if eccentric private investigator with a sharp mind and heavy southern drawl. Johnson once again writes and directs “Glass Onion,” which brings Craig back but jettisons the original film’s ensemble and New England setting for an entirely new mystery. This time, the action is set in Greece, where tech billionaire Miles Bron (Edward Norton) invites his entourage of employees and friends to a private island, where in-group tensions quickly spiral into a murder for Blanc to solve....

The Netflix film will host a special one-week-only sneak preview event in theaters this Thanksgiving prior to releasing globally on the streamer December 23. The preview event is from November 23 through 29 across approximately 600 theaters nationwide, with additional theaters around the world. Tickets go on sale October 10 here. The film hosted its world premiere at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival. For many young Black women, the Miss Juneteenth pageant is their version of the more recognized Miss America. And for “Miss Juneteenth,” which foregrounds the story of a woman rarely given this much screen consideration, Beharie didn’t need to seek inspiration in prior films or performances. Unlike the recent PVOD trailblazer Universal, Disney’s model of “premiere access” sees the studio taking in 100 percent of the revenue. Universal splits it 80-20 with iTunes and other rental platforms. Theatrical revenue is split about 50-50. For Universal, those economics were so favorable that in April, following the release of “Trolls World Tour,” the studio revealed it would begin releasing some films direct to PVOD, inflaming AMC Theatres, which banned the studio’s films before a detente that will allow a shortened theatrical window....

Based on Diana Gabaldon’s nine-book series of the same name, “Outlander” tells the story of Claire Randall (Caitríona Balfe), a nurse living in 1945 who is transported back in time to the 18th century, where she falls in love with Highland warrior Jaime Fraser (Sam Heughan). The show follows Claire and Jamie’s relationship as they navigate the real-life Jacobite rising and other historical events of the era, before more time travel shenanigans cause them to hop freely throughout history....

It’s hard to imagine any metal band ever had as much to be angry about as Slave to Sirens, the unlikely subjects of Rita Baghdadi’s dynamic new documentary “Sirens.” Based in the outskirts of Beirut, it’s safe to say the five-woman thrash metal band is the first of its kind in Lebanon, let alone the Middle East.
