Khaou’s film, the Chinese-British filmmaker’s first since 2014’s “Lilting,” unfolds in dulcet, almost ASMR-inducing tones, but that doesn’t mean “Monsoon” lacks for big emotional impact. Kit (Golding) is a British-Vietnamese man returning to his birth country for the first time in three decades, and he’s lost in translation. Unable to speak the language, and now spiritually disconnected from his origins, Kit journeys first to Saigon, and then Hanoi, in search of a place to scatter his family’s ashes....

Enter Tylor Tuskmon (Ben Feldman), a promising Scare graduate of Monsters University, who gets transferred to the Monsters, Inc. Facilities Team (MIFT). And therein lies the conflict: How does he pivot from Scarer to Jokester while working in the basement as a maintenance expert? “Our original concept was to start six months after [the transition], but it’s more interesting to deal with it during the switch, and then having a character who has prepared to be a Scarer all of his life and has idolized Sulley and has to change the moment he gets hired,” said executive producer and show developer Bobs Gannaway (“Planes: Fire & Rescue”)....

Enter “Mr. Corman.” Joseph Gordon-Levitt, the creator, executive producer, and writer-director on multiple episodes, plays Josh Corman, a thirtysomething ex-musician who hung up his guitar strap to start teaching fifth graders. Single for over a year and living with his friend from high school, Victor (Arturo Castro), Josh goes to work, comes home, lays down on the couch, plays video games or watches TV, and then goes to bed to start the whole cycle over again....

But with the groundwork laid and the discussion already had about this show’s relevance, it would have been easy for series co-creator and writer Lang Fisher to rest on goodwill. Instead, Season 2 of “Never Have I Ever” continues to bring that perfect blend of heart and humor with a little sting underlying everything. It’s hard to capture the magic of that first season, but Season 2 has something special all its own....

Yet that meant setting up “No Time to Die” with both of these tragic love story threads in the longest and most daring pre-credit teaser in franchise history. It’s a 20-minute tour de force that begins with a frozen horror encounter in Norway between young Madeleine (Coline Defaud) and baddie Safin (Rami Malek); jumping to present-day Italy with the “We Have All the Time in the World” romance of Bond and Madeleine (Léa Seydoux); followed by betrayal at the tomb of Vesper (Eva Green); two thrilling chases through the narrow alleys of Matera; Bond and Madeleine finally escaping a furious shootout with Spectre in the trusty Aston Martin DB5; and then Bond saying goodbye to Madeleine at the train station....

“Part V” is peppered with flashbacks from what looks to be circa “Attack of the Clones,” based on Christensen’s rattail and Ewan McGregor’s fascinating wig. The episode opens with the Jedi Master and padawan at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, beginning the day’s training in lightsaber combat. As the fight progresses throughout these interspersed scenes, it becomes a microcosm of Obi-Wan and Anakin’s overall relationship and arc. At first, both parties are eager, lighting up their blades to enter what should be a fun and rewarding session....

Andy Samberg isn’t sure he was the first choice to lead rookie director Max Barbakow and writer Andy Siara’s brain-bending romantic comedy “Palm Springs,” but it’s hard to imagine another actor taking his place. He plays a daffy layabout drifting through life — who happens to be stuck in an infinite time loop — with the balance of nutty charm and physical comedy that wouldn’t be out of place on his “Saturday Night Live” days or even on his TV sitcom “Brooklyn Nine-Nine....

James Earl Jones revealed in a resurfaced American Film Institute interview that “Star Wars” creator George Lucas paid him $7,000 to voice iconic villain Darth Vader.
